The build up to Ash and Laura’s destination wedding included 2 and a half years in a long-distance relationship, 2 uni degrees, starting and changing careers and moving interstate twice, but in their own words “It has only strengthened our love for each other and provided us with lots of adventures along the way…the next one being our crazy destination wedding in Fiji!” Finally the 2 have become 1 x

Here’s what they had to say about their Big Day full of Love, Family, friends, Style and oozing with Charm.

What made you choose Fiji: Ash’s mum and grandma suggested the idea and we thought why not? A week of celebrations and a holiday all rolled into one with our loved ones really appealed to us. We were amazed at how many people were so excited to join us on our crazy wedding adventure!

Can you tell us a bit about the day through your eyes: To us our wedding felt barefoot, intimate, personal, romantic and fun. There was a constant stream of singing, laughter, hugs and kisses, hilarious yet emotional speeches and  out-of-this world crazy shirtless/belts and ties on heads dancing. We were both on such a high leading into the wedding because of the amazing four days we had all had together at Musket Cove in the lead-up. The ceremony and reception looked and felt magical, we loved every minute of our day and late night!

What were you’re favorite moment/s of the day: Laura – holding Ash’s hands during the ceremony and having our photos taken together.
Ash – carrying and spinning my beautiful bride into the reception in front of all our family and friends.

Is there any advice you’d like to give future brides in preparation for their big day: Don’t overplan or worry about how things will turn out. A lot of things were organised when we arrived on the first day and everything turned out perfectly.

Any special thanks or mentions you’d like to make: The Musket Cove staff went above and beyond to make us and all of our guests feel special. Gloria was very helpful in the 12 months prior to the wedding with accommodation and transfers. Vere was so lovely and did an incredible job co-ordinating everything on the day. Our friends and family members who decorated, MC’d, DJ’d, videoed, danced, sang, took polaroids and gave speeches really made the day and night. Thank you! Finally, the Kama’s…we absolutely dread photos usually and this very talented duo made us feel extremely comfortable and even confident during our portraits. We really enjoyed having our photos taken and our guests raved about how kind and professional the Kamas were. Thank you! Xxx
